Well we've done it. We've officially attended a heavy metal, punk-inspired concert. Not that we consider ourselves music snobs, but the Locavaux crew definitely didn't think that they would find themselves in central Michigan attending a metal show. But hey, different musical strokes for different musical folks is what this project is all about, right? We had the fortune to listen to an up and coming (only together for 8 months!) band called Hung Up at the Ann Arbor, Michigan rock and metal hotspot, The Bling Pig. An alternative sound with a heavy pop punk influence, these four skaters and childhood friends gave an awesome, Iggy Pop-inspire performance that had the whole crowd head banging (even Locavaux crew member, Katie).
